IN THE KNOW: Wyoming Women Art Exhibit

“We welcome the public to celebrate the work of these wonderful Wyoming women artists,” said Wyoming Women’s History House executive director Joanne Mai in a news release. “Watching the mural come to life and seeing this exhibit come together has been exciting.”...
Participants will get the chance to interact with and learn from the artists and they can bring home a piece inspired by the artist’s work. There will be five workshops during the summer.
The exhibit features pieces by Ashley Hope Carlisle, Katie Christensen, Sadie Clarendon, Adrienne Vetter and Colleen Friday, Rocio Gomez Sandoval, and Tawni Shuler.
Artist workshops are:
- Katie Christensen, Fun with Folded Paper Fidgets and Simple Book Forms, 9-11 a.m. Saturday, July 18.
- Sadie Clarendon, Mini-Quilt! Hand Quilted Sampler with Sadie Clarendon, 4-6 p.m. Friday, July 24.
- Ashley Hope Carlisle, Listening Hollows: Transforming Empty Spaces Workshop, 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1.
- Cassidy Post, Make a Mini Mural with Cassidy Post, 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15.
- Tawni Shuler, Collage: Life in Layers with Tawni Shuler, to be announced.
Space is limited to allow time with artists. Each workshop is $25 per person and all materials will be provided.
Workshops will be held at the Wyoming Women’s History House, 317 South Second Street in Historic Downtown Laramie.
